Local Cable TV Show Hot Wax Expands its Coverage to Include the South and West Suburbs
May 6, 2004 - Chicago, Illinois Chicago's premier electronic music and visuals showcase, Hot Wax, has expanded its coverage in the Chicagoland area. The show, once exclusively available in the City of Chicago on Comcast, RCN and Wide Open West cable channel 19, is now also airing on Comcast Cable in the following suburban communities:

Hot Wax director Ray Galuszka said that "by partnering with local producers in the suburban communities, Hot Wax is further realizing its vision of bringing the best of underground and local talent to the surface. We are responding to overwhelming demand for the program in the suburbs, where the underground culture is at least as rich as that in the city proper."
The first episodes to air on the suburban channels include the Best of Season One and local legend DJ Kenny Ray. "We wanted to hit the ground running in the suburbs, so the programming will be as fresh as what we offer in the city," said show executive producer Chris Devins, "and our show features a lot of talent from the suburbs, so expanding our coverage to these communities was a natural evolution of what we're trying to achieve with the show."
