Hot Wax seeks editor to join our production team

CALLING FILM & TV STUDENTS / FREELANCE EDITORS

Hot Wax seeks a volunteer editor with access to a DV-based NLE system (Premier, Final Cut, etc.) to join our production team.

We cover events on the street and showcase Chicago Talent in the studio with cutting-edge visuals. Some of the creative opportunities that our show offers include:

- create visuals (ideal for experimental artists)
- shoot material (we have cameras)
- crew on remote coverage shoots (free access to events)
- edit segments and provide creative input
- showcase your work in a major TV market, add to your portfolio a credible project
- full credit given to all team members involved with show production
- CAN-TV facilities cable production certification sponsorship for a committed editor
- crew on studio shoots, learn how to produce television programming

We curently produce a new episode of the program every month, and our demand for creative production assistants in the editing discipline is growing as we ramp up to produce multiple episodes per month.

Hot Wax has been on the air for two years and is an established show airing in the city of Chicago as well as the west and south suburbs, reaching over 6 million people.
